My neighbor just painted their front door a Robin’s egg blue, and I love driving past their house because it looks so cheerful. The front door seems to introduce the world to the people inside. I think if you are daring enough to paint your front door different from the classic green, red and black, you home should have neutral siding so colors don’t become overwhelming.
